Hi, My name is Pamella and I am a Master’s level clinical Social Worker /Therapist.

I practice counselling and therapy in Scarborough Ontario under the supervision of a Registered Psychologist or Registered Psychological Associate who are members of the College of Psychologists of Ontario.

I am also a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and the Ontario Association of Social Workers. I hold the designation of Registered Social Worker and I am the sole proprietor of PSB Counselling Services.

With over 10 years of experience as a social worker/counsellor, I have worked with children, youth, and adults in various settings such as mental health, criminal justice, parenting and healthcare. As a private practitioner, my specializations include working with individuals, children, adolescents, couples and families.

I am an interactive, solution-focused therapist. My approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients effectively address personal life challenges.  I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to each client. With compassion and understanding, I work with each individual to help them build on their strengths and attain the personal growth they are committed to accomplishing.

It’s my passion to work to help people to explore and gain insight into their challenges, behaviours and problems. Sometimes you need a helping hand and a friendly ear to talk to. Together, we are going to gently approach your most difficult and painful issues. Together, we will work on strategies and techniques to overcome them.

Why PSB Counselling

I know how hard life's challenges can be and the courage that it takes to stand up to the problems in your life. You don't need to do it alone!  I will work with you on any of the following life, career and relationship issues: work-life balance, career counselling, lack of motivation, depression, anxiety, self-harm, trauma, domestic violence, women/female issues, and interpersonal issues such as relationships, communication, and intimacy. I enjoy and have experience working with people of all ages and diverse backgrounds.

The benefits of psychotherapy and counselling work include: self-insight, inner fulfillment, raised self-esteem, a positive outlook and improved relations. I believe in helping you to understand your area of difficulty, gain relief from present issues and develop resources to cope in the future. I am aware that no two individuals or situations are the same. Counselling has to be an individual journey. It is very important to me that you feel listened to, heard and understood. I believe in hope. I believe in the possibility of change. I also believe that a full recovery from any of life's many burdens is attainable. These beliefs are the foundation of my approach to treatment and therapeutic goals. My goals as a therapist are to provide support, build personal strength, and generate healthy solutions to problematic situations.
